How to set the depth of the Section View ?

  • I can modify the width be moving the arrows but how to modify the depth ? Is it possible ?

Dobble klick on the section line. The point that defines the current position will be highlighted. Klick on that point and keep the mous button pressed. Now you can drag the section line to a new position. (NX10)

i know that you can do something with show background. this option will show the view only in the slicing plane.

 

Go to your view settings->section->settings->in the group format you will see this option.

 

you can do also something with front and back clipping.

go to your view settings->common->Perspective->here you can set your front and back clipping

Select the section line, Right click - settings.
"section line" in the left pane
scroll to bottom of right pane, - use Offset = on. Then set the width of the visible "corridor". ( = depth behind section line)
Note that only complete solid bodies beyond that distance will be hidden.
those that are crossing the "offset plane" will be visible.
