How to update .fem and .sim files from a modified .prt file?

Hi,

I have a .prt file and have created .fem and .sim files from it.

In the .prt files there are some parameters that I need to modify as shown in image. (1,2 and 3)

However I would like those changes to be reflected in my .fem and .sim files which doesn't happen.

Can someone please guide me how I can do it.

Hi ,

If the edits change your model then you need to update your mesh first...

Hello @kartikbilla007,

In the screenshot, I see the i_Prt is not loaded, so the fem file "does not know", that is has been updated. i.e. double click the i_prt, so it gets loaded, and now have a look if this solves you problem.

There is a customer default, that you can set, in order to always load the fem, the i_prt, and the part, when opening the sim. But this does impact your performance on loading, therefor the default is turned off. It only load the fem, when you open a sim file.

Kind regards,
