I-Deas Surface Intersection while Sketching Can NX Behave Like this?

Phenom

In I-Deas if you sketch on a plane and want a surface intersection of a drafted surface that does not cross the sketch plane, I-Deas would automatically extend this surface and produce an associative line. Please see image.

Can NX do this within a sketch without doing all kinds of surface extracting, and enlarging?

I don't think so.  The best that you could do would be to project the edge of the face/surface into the sketch, but this would only work on faces/surfaces that are planar so that the projection direction would be parallel to the plane of the face/surface.

Thanks for the feedback. this is what I was thinking.

Maybe a good ER opportunity here.

I-Deas can do it why can't NX.  back to my Old I-Deas saying.   (HA)Smiley Very Happy
