I see you are using FireFox. Might be due to that you are running the files local on you OS, so it's not a remote website. This sometimes blocks parts of websites. Like Ben Suggested, ActiveX. Not even sure if Firefox Blocks ActiveX always? Might wan to google that, and possible workarounds.
Second option is try a different browser, like InternetExplorer or Chrome.

ActiveX is a Microsoft invention. I'm not sure that other browsers support ActiveX natively; they will probably need some sort of extension or plug in to get ActiveX stuff to run.
