Hello everyone,

 

   I have a pdf of 2d skecth.How can i make into a active sketch using tha pdf and make a 3d model in nx!!! is there a way to create directly.

Hi @karthik6,

it's not possible. You have to convert your PDF into DXF or DWG.

There are on-line site like http://www.convertfiles.com/ or use Inkscape.

After saving it to dwg or dxf file whats the way to create a 3d model??

File -> Import -> DXF / DWG and follow the wizard plus F1 to open help if you don't know the command.

As @cubalibre00 suggested, convert PDF to the DXF/DWG. Import it to the NX part and start the modeling using the imported file.

 

With Inkspace you can open a PDF file and save it as DXF which can be opened/imported in NX directly.

 

Sometimes I use Win Topo Freeware to convert content of PDF to image which can be opened in Win Topo and export it as DXF.

In addition, once you have the 2D files in NX and have them in drafting there is a command that will convert a drawing of 2D curves to a 3D part.
