Hi,

A customer sent me a file with iam extension. I think that It's a 3D assembly made by Autodesk Inventor. How can I import that file to NX 10 ?

Thanks for your help

If it's a format that isn't in the translator list then you need to ask for a step file or parasolid file.

Below is a quick list of formats that can be translated within NX

  • IGES

  • STEP 203

  • STEP 214

  • JT

  • DXF/DWG

  • 2D Exchange

  • CATIA V4 (extra license)

  • CATIA V5 (extra license)

  • Pro/E

  • Solidworks (part/Assembly)
  • Solid edge
  • Parasolid
  • OBJ Files
  • STL
