Importing wireframe into a drawing

Hello,

I have a logo in a wireframe fomat (DXF or IGES).  I'd like to import it into my drawing template and use it in my title block.  When I import it it goes into the "modelling", but not into my drafting sheet even if I'm in Drafting mode..  What's the best way to approach the importation of wireframe into a drawing?

Thanks

Jerry

Import to new part so that you have the option to Send Model Data to: Drawing Sheet, then import that NX part to your existing nx part while in Drafting.

Here's one method:

  1. In modeling, make sure all the curves are on the X-Y plane
  2. switch to drafting, create a drawing sheet if necessary, add a base view that shows your curves (probably a top view).
  3. right click on the view and choose "view dependent edit" -> convert dependency -> model to view; select all of the curves that you want on the drawing sheet and OK the dialog boxes.
  4. select all the curves (window select works well for this), right click -> cut, right click on the sheet and choose the paste command.
  5. delete the (now empty) base view that you added in step 2.

I've not tried it, but @cord's method sounds much easier than mine...
