License Feature - where to find the function in NX

Builder
Builder

Hello,

I have find in my license-file these Features:

nx_spsd_stress

nx_spsd_vibration

ug_nas_des

nx_nas_bn_basic_dsk

nx_nastran_export

ug_prod_des_advisor

Where can I find the related function in NX? Do I have to install additional software - other than NX?

When you use the typical installation, everything that you listed is installed.

The licenses resemble the stress and vibration wizards and NX simulation, aka Nastran.

Hi Michael,

unfortunately there is no function for it. The only way to find out is to try the function and look into the license log file on the license server to find which license bit was used.

But even this is also not always 100% true. For example, if you create a wave link and you have the Wave control license, you'll get an option to create a position-independent link. If no Wave control license is available, you don't get this option. No indication in the license log for that one....

And a short addition to Stefan's answer: Stress and Vibration Wizard is correct and ug_prod_des_advisor today is known as "Molded Part Validation" (formerly: Product Design Advisor"). Use the command finder to locate it.

Sorry no better answer.

Johannes

And just so everyone knows, the wizards appear on a resource bar called process studio.

In addition there is video done by John Baker showing the stress wizard in the Knowledge Base. It can be found here:
