Make flattened surface concentric to base surface

Hello to all,

I would like to learn the best way to use Flattening & Forming feature on the toroidal surfaces such as on the attaged video. So, flattend surface is always angled to the base surface and I would like to set flattened surface to be in top plane, just above the base feature.

On the other attached video is how I solved it but I don't like creating a new features (fill) to get expected result.

Any help is very appreciated.

Hello @Uggeri,

Thank you for the solution but this is not something that I was looking for.

You are also moving manually by X,Y coordinates and in my case it's not good cause diameters are in 8 decimals so I have to think how many milimeters I have to move by X & Y.

I would like solution which will allows me to select references which will be matted/aligned/whatever.

Best,
