Merged Bodies Volume will be same or not

Genius

Hello

I am working in a huge assembly for inner flow volume calculation.

I created more inner bodies for my product, and i found in some places some parts are merging. When i caculated the volume Nx skipped the merged volume and gave only the correct required volume.

I really surprised is this a Nx behaviour, or i made any mistake.

Please confirm me. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Sekars ,

Can you please add a snapshot of part with measurement, if possible?

Hello Samadhan

Thanks for your post, Sorry it is not possible now.

Very simple, for example if a 2 cylinders is there then, both volume is say 500 units (250+250), but if both merged for some length and for that length only one cylinder volume calculated (another one cylinder volume ignored) so total will be 400 units.

Thanks again

@Sekars ,

If it is below scenario, then it seems to me working correctly.

Hello Samadhan

Thanks for the video

First make any one cylinder lenther so that it will merge / interference with another cylinder.

Then make them as Body by using Remove parameters, then we need to measure this,

I cannot do this since i am working in TcE Nx (not Native Nx)

Thanks again

I think Unite body or non-parametric body will give the same result. Can you check that?

Hi Sekars,

You need to provide more detailed information. I just did the same test as Samadhan. Do you mean to Unite the bodies or are you analyzing them all together still interfearing?? I would assume that a unite will be in place and give you the correct answer...

Best Regards
