NX 10 Exporting to IGES Failure

Hello,

 

I am trying to export a file to IGES in NX 10. This file was created in NX 8.5. I access this file from TeamCenter. Only a log file was created telling me "File not found". Please see the log file attached. I have tried this on two files. Both failed. Does anyone have any ideas?

Your log file is showing that you have not selected a file.  Typically, The Status line will state 'Converting part:', then it will show the name of the file being translated.

 

In the Export to IGES dialog, on the Files tab, make certain you have Existing part selected and that the part file name is correct.

 

It you have Displayed part selected, the file MUST be  open and displayed in NX.

I have tried both, both didn't work for NX 10 in TeamCenter.

I have tried exporting to IGES in NX 10 outside TeamCenter. It worked.

 

I think this is a problem specific to exporting to IGES in NX 10 inside TeamCenter.

If you create a part file in NX (no matter NX8.5 or NX10, I think) inside TeamCenter, and try exporting it to IGES in NX 10 inside TeamCenter, you will find it doesn't work.

What exact version of NX10 and Teamcenter are you using?

 

Also, can you attach the entire NX Log file after you try the IGES export?

I am using NX 10.0.3.5, TeamCenter 10 (10.1.4.1(20150609.00)) 64-bit.

 

Please find the log file attached.

If you look for this file:  D:\Temp\015102_A.igs

 

Does it exist?

 

If so, is it the translated file?

I can only find a log file as posted before.

I will recommend that you contact GTAC.  The issue is too complex for this forum.
