NX 11 Swept - The role of Orientation Method (Face normals)

Hello!

Could you tell me what is the role of 'Orientation method' in swept feature. When there is one guide, the face normals and other options appear at orientation method area, but if I choose different faces and switch them there is no difference compare to option with 2 guides and fixed orientation method. It seems like it doesn't change the shape of swept geometry. In the picture below there is a face highlighted which is 'face normal' and the guide
in red, but there is no change in the result geometry if I choose only one guide without 'face normals'.

I have been trying to understand how this function works and what area of the section is to be normal to selected face but I found no solution.
If anybody could explain me how this 'Orientation method' works I would be grateful.

The best way you can understand Orientation in Swept is by doing a helical curve and square profile. 

Then try Orientation ... to see the difference.
