NX 8.0 installation error

Hi Everyone,

 

I have been trying to install NX8 in my new windows 10 Machine. I installed "License Server' successfully. Then I was trying to stop server for NX installation, but its giving problems. Without, stopping server, NX is installing fine. but again its not opening NX home page.

 

I am no techie, help me out guys.

Thanks for replying so quickly. I had tried to install NX 8.0 earlier 4-5 times but no error message appeared. But this time, It's showing error message.

Hello.

First Check your environmental variables of your computer.
make sure that UGII_LICENSE_SERVER has the correct settings 2800@"yourcomputername"
If your settings for this is correct.
Try to restart the license server.
Start LMTOOLS.
go to Start/stop/reread tab.
Stop the server.
Reread the license File.
Then Start the server again.

That is typically 28000@computername

Thanks guys for help. I tried all the methods carefully but the issue remains unresolved. I tried installing NX 7.5 on the same windows 10 machine. its installed properly but again the error message is displayed at the start on the NX 7.5 programe and it closes suddenly.

Are you sure you have a valid license file for your site ID?

Have you looked at the syslog? It should have more details on why NX did not start.

Also look at the license server log file.

If you see no license messages (either checkout or failure) then there is a "network" issue between the license server & the client (or the client never gets to the point of trying to talk to the license server).  If you are checking out a valid license, then you know the issue is on the client.
