NX 8.5 - Convert multibody part to assembly

Legend

Hello everyone

I remember reading somewhere how to convert a multibody part to an assembly in NX but I can't seem to find where. I know I can do wave links but is there a less cumbersome method to achieve this?

Thanks for your suggestions

Use the "create new component" command. This command will allow you to specify a file name for the new component, and then select a body in your current file, and it will put the body geometry into the new file and add it as a component in the current part. Repeat as required.

Thanks Cowski for refreshing my memory!
I remember it now. I somehow thought there was a way to do it in one shot for multiple bodies.

I vaguely remember either someone posting a journal to do it or posting about how it was possible in some add-in toolkit (the Chinese toolkit, maybe)?
