I downloaded the updated Topology Optimization add-on "NX 12.0.0 Update 01 - NX30556 Topo Opt..." released Nov 14 and set it up to run in NX11 and NX12 (the downloaded zip file contains software for both NX11 & NX12). The problem is that I can't make it work properly on either.
For new models I can go on setting up the optimization until clicking "Estimate Optimization Parameters" in "Setup Optimization" where it crashes with a Block Styler error on both NX11 and NX12. So I can't even start the optimization.
For models previously created with older versions of Topo Opt I can run the optimization since I don't have to click "Estimate Optimization Parameters" to have "Run Optimization" available. If I click "Estimate Optimization Parameters" on these models the same Block Styler error occurs.
I've tried to download and set up the files again, but with the same results.
Anyone else with this problem? Any suggestions on how to solve this?
Could you please check if you have Microsoft .NET 4.6 installed? This might jsut solve the issue.
I've seen this error before. I would create an IR with GTAC, so we can properly have a look at this, and solve the problem.
I have colleagues here who know more about this tool than I do.
You cannot find other customers IR's in the solution Center, just PR's. I've checked the IR, and it seems to be closed, as Fixed in the next version. But I believe in the IR, the fix was in update 1. Since you are already using update 1, I believe you might have a different issue. I would still create the IR if I were you... So one of the colleagues can have a look at it.
I had the exact same problem, after changing the language of windows 10 to English (also make sure that UGII_LANG = english), it worked.
Hoping this will help people in the future!
Maybe good to mention as well, If you set your decimal separator from a comma "," to a full stop "." in you regional settings might do the same trick.
We are working on a fix for this issue.
