I was forced to upgrade my all-day-working-NX to NX10.
Now I have to configure the virgin NX to behave as the old one (NX8.5.2) in the different points like:
- customer defaults,
- visibility of dialog options for all dialogs,
- path settings,
1. Is there a good way to upgrade the setting files and registry entries from NX 8.5.2 to NX10?
and in special:
2. I guess in NX8.5.2 there was an opportunity to set ALL dialogs to the "MORE" state to get all dialog options in visibility state, may be by using the roll "Advanced with full menus". (I'm not sure, if I could describe it in the right manner.) Here is a picture to see what I mean:
It looks like having set every dialog into "MORE" state means configuring it for every dialog individually. because I couldn't find such a roll.
But I can't imagine that's the only way.
Who can help?
With best regard, Michael
I'm going to transfer this post to the NX CAD forum, I think there are more people there who will be able to answer this correctly...
In NX 10, the role you want is named "advanced". It can be found in the palette -> roles tab -> content folder -> advanced.
If you search the forum for "customer defaults", you should find some threads about transferring settings when you upgrade.
Apart from the advanced role you may want to have a look at:
Preferences / User Interface / Options / Default Presentation of Dialog Content, here choose More.
