NX11 Move Component - Display Assembly Constraints in Graphics Window

Phenom
Phenom

Is there a Customer Default, preference/setting or environment variable to permanently turn on Assembly Constraints in the Graphics Window?

When I use Move Component and set the Transform Motion option to By Constraints, I would like to see the constraints in the graphics window as I am applying them. However my system is set now, I constantly have to go over to the Assembly Navigator, and toggle on Display Constraints in Graphics Window.  I want this ON all the time if possible.

TIA!

Hi @TimF,

What you are looking for is not currently possible.  The ability to control the display of constraints in the graphics window has already been requested in existing ER 1819101.

Hi

Some of option setting come from Template part.
Try to open Template part and toggle on the display setting.
(You may add a component temporary.)

@SKAHN,

Templates aren't involved in these parts. They are all existing parts or parts created from empty start parts. I think what I may be able to do is add components to the empty start part, set the constraints options, delete the components then save the part. I will test that out and see how it works. Thanks for your input.

As I know 'Display Assembly Constraints' setting is stored to each part.

So if you set it on template, it will be kept to new parts.

But I tested it only with NX10.
