when I was on NX11 and working on old parts, to use the new drafting customer default setting I have to use the command like the image below.
Now on NX1859 the command goes away.
How can I set the drafting setting on old parts ?
In modelling, drafting setting pilot sketch dimensions and PMI dimensions and also some weld set.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Samadhan is correct. As of NX 1847 the Drafting and PMI preferences are separated into different dialogs, and you can only access Drafting preferences from the Drafting application now.
"If you set a PMI preference and there is a corresponding Drafting preference, it is also set. "
I edited PMI preferences while using Direct Sketch in Modeling and once I inherited the preferences in the Settings for my sketch dimensions the changes were applied.
So the PMI decimal places controls the Sketch Decimal Places now?
So it seems.
Drafting preferences don't really belong in Modeling (it's odd that they're still in the STE, but I wouldn't be surprised if that changes soon). I verified that my changes to the PMI preferences were also set in the Drafting preferences - which confirms what I copied in the tdoc in my previous reply.
