NX9 Ordinate Dimension - what is this and how do I get rid of it?

This is creating a headache for me, as I had to explain this to a couple of our tool makers already.  Using ordinate dimension, why does NX feel it is necessary to place a symbol depicting the origin and a line going from that symbol to the dimension line?  It makes it look like there are added features on my print, is there any way to get rid of the symbol and line?  See example the origin symbol is circled in red.

Thanks,

Jon

It is tied to the Dimension so if I try to hide it, the dimension gets hidden as well.
