New physical measure -> Surface power density

Hello,

I am looking for a solution to define a variable whose physical dimension is a "Surface power density" .

That is "W/m^2"  or  also  "kg/m^3".

I don't find this measure in the list then I write an expression.

Thank you for your help.

Hi serrep,

In the Dimensional Column from the dropdown first define Heat Flux resp. Mass Density then define your units in the Unit column.

Best Regards

Thank you,

The dimensionality "Heat Flux" is correct.

I have made a mystake with the other physical dimension. It was "kg/s^3" and not "kg/m^3".

Best Regards

Philip

Hi @serrep,

I had same difficulty to find out from >50 dimensionality types (being new to expressions). So to find out correct type:

  • exported existing expressions to .exp file
  • according to syntax put new expressions values like below:
[W/m^2]test1=202
[kg/m^3]test2=202
[kg/s]test3=202
  • Imported the .exp file again & NX has created expressions using matching types like shown in image below.

Shared above scenario, this will certainly be helpful to someone ahead.

NX gives error while importing expression with unit "kg/s^3", this indicates there doesn't exists dimensionality for this.
