Pioneer

Hi

When i open native NX i dont see the menu option for selecting Drafting and Assemble Templates(nx10.PNG). i can see all the templates and .PAX files in C:\UGS\NX10\UGII\templates (TemplatesList.PNG)

Please help how can get those templates and Menus listed in File-->New Dialog box

I've found that removing the ugii_custom_directory_file env variable can fix that, BUT we define that variable in an NXcustom .bat file.

Odd, that a coworker just asked me about this same issue.

Hi @htshyd,

The location of templates is defined using the variable UGII_TEMPLATE_DIR.

Select "Menu > Help > Log File" and search for the above variable to see where it's pointing.

Note that (as installed) there are *2* sets of template .PAX files

- One set for native mode (ugs*.pax)

- One set for managed (Teamcenter) mode (nxdm*.pax)

Could be one is set up, the other isn't.

Or they are all set up to reference files in Teamcenter - edit the PAX files and see if all the "filename" fields are of format "@DB/.../...":

<Filename>@DB/ITEM_ID/0</Filename>

(the "/0" means revision "0" in TC)

Native mode ones look like:

<Filename>Drawing-A-Size-template.prt</Filename>

Production: NX10.0.3.5 MP16/TC11.2

FWIW, we don't set UGII_TEMPLATES_DIR at all.  We declare that location in the custom_dirs.dat file, which is why having UGII_CUSTOM_DIRECTORY_FILE hard set on the local machine, will cause us issues.  Instead, we set UGII_CUSTOM_DIRECTORY_FILE in our NX110env.dat file, all per the NXcustom setup.
