PMI Dimension in Detail View on the Drawing

Experimenter
Experimenter

Hi

I'm working on a Drawing of a Part Family Master that uses PMI Dimensions.

When making a Detail View I can't place the dimension outside the boundaries. It is only possible when making dimension directly in the drawing (the old-fashioned way)

Have anybody experience with this?

Hi @CyanPanda ,

You'll need to make Detail View independent using MB3 on view -> Convert to Independent Detail. This will allow you to move inherited PMIs. Also you might need to extend View Boundary using Manual Rectangle to fit PMIs into boundary.

Hi @SamadhanGaikwad

After many test I came to the same solution as you propose.

Using PMI is new for the department that is just transfered to.
NX is new to me, though I have 10 years experience in 3D/2D modelling.
