PMI in JT file

Hi,
I am have different model views as Base view , section AA-AA in model in which PMI dimensions are created. Whether this dimensions will be visible in JT file if I simply export it to JT using file -> export -> JT command

You need to set the appropriate JT option in your JT configuration file in order to export the PMI in a JT file.
To check if this option is set, do the following:

 

  • In the Command Finder box, type JT Preferences (or you can also select Menu->Preferences->JT).
  • In the JT Preferences dialog box, click the Modify Configuration button.
  • In the JT Configuration dialog box, make sure the Include PMI option is set appropriately. For example, if it's set to Parts and Assemblies, all the applicable PMI contained in the current part or assembly will be exported.

Please note that there are some exceptions to what PMI is supported for export in a JT file. More information is located here:

Also, some of your PMI may not get translated if it is associated to curves that are not part of the model reference set, or if it's associated to PMI section view curves. Some additional information can be found here:
