Parts list empty no connection to assembly 3dmodel.prt ?

Hello

The drawing has "no connection" to the assembly .prt 3D-model file.

  • If I create a parts list it is empty.
  • How to connect the assembly drawing.dwg to the assembly 3Dmodel.prt ?

When I clicked new drawing. I had to manually bring (=Base view-> Open part) the model to the drawing.
- Usually the drafting identifies the model automatically when base view inserting.

Level Ok: Master model

When inside the assembly...

  • File -> new drafting... No assembly3Dname.dwg.PRT found ?
  • There is just (NoName)dwg1.PRT ?

the Relation ship is on stand-alone part
set this to reference existing.

if you do this you will also the the the 'part to create a drawing of' is set to your part.

How is your model/part displayed in the assembly navigator? like this?

stand alone drawing.JPG

if this is like above you can see in the colomn info that the part is reference only and won't be used in the part list.

if you create the new drawing as Reference existing part than you assembly is created as master model drawing and can be used in your part list.

so did you tried to create the drawing from file new to set here the relation ship to "Reference Exising Part" ?
