Printing on larger paper size in NX10

Hello everyone!

We have a strange issue. So far we could not understand how to print drawing from NX10 in 100% size. It scales up without asking if the paper is bigger. Quite mind-boggling and does not seem to depend on a particular printer settings. Any ideas?

Do you mean windows printing or SDI plotting?

Sorry, didn't specify. I mean simplified printing routine, not the old Plotting tool.

I see, can't help with that. I only use SDI plotting.

"NX Print" does not print 1:1.  It always scales to fit since all it does is take a screenshot of your current graphics window and sends it to the printer regardless of your intent for scale.

"NX Plot" wil print 1:1 if you configure it to do so.

This is unexpected. I can't see the reason for this other than artificially keeping old Plot tool alive.

My experience says you will need to set the printers up as plotters, and use the SDI plotting command to control the scale.

Don't knock the Plotting utility.  It's a great tool that can do a lot of things far beyond what the Print command can do.  We'd be lost without it.

the workaround i use is export to pdf, then print from acrobat when i need accurate prints.
(i am too lazy to set up the SDI plotting , and try to figure out the settings for the copier we use as printer)
