Problem with NX 11 interface

Hi everyone,

 

I'm having some trouble with the NX interface and I dont know how to fix it. It's a very simple issue.

 

The thing is that I can't read the NX version or module or the filename that normally appear on the top bar.

 Is there anyway to solve this issue? I'm working with NX 11.0.1.11 MP3.

Hi @gic_nx,

 

It could be related to your user.mtx, which stores your role information.

Exit NX and locate your user.mtx, which is usually here:

C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Siemens\NX110\

 

Right click user.mtx and choose Rename.  Enter user.mtx_old
Restart NX and see if the title bar now displays the filename and application.

Hi Ben,

 

I tried that but it didn't work. I also tried deleting completely the folder NX110 but still the same problem.

 

Any other ideas that may work?

Are you using Windows 10? There was an issue where the title bar was not displaying if you chose the System theme, but that should be fixed in your version.

Try renaming/removing the NX11 windows registry:
Exit NX
delete or rename: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Unigraphics Solutions\NX\11.0
Restart NX

I deleted the Windows registry of NX 11 but didn't work, what I noticed is that when chosing the System Theme, the Title Bar is displayed correctly as it should always do. But when I choose another theme that's where it dissappears.

My bad, I forgot to answer that. Yes, I'm using Windows 10.

Do you have a .men file in UGII_SITE_DIR\startup, UGII_GROUP_DIR\startup, or UGII_USER_DIR\startup?

Try running NX in Windows 7 compatibility mode:
Browse to: C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Siemens NX 11.0\
Right click on the "NX 11.0" icon and choose "Properties"
Select the Compatibility tab
Check "Run this program in compatibility mode for", change the pull down to Windows 7 and hit OK
Double click the NX 11.0 icon to start NX and see if the problem persists.
