This is a question for those using the Product Interface functionality in their design process.
Currently it is possible to create more than one product interface with the same name. I would like to have people's feedback on this. Do you see this as an advantage or as a disadvantage?
Does anyone have a workflow process where duplicate product interface names are used?
If NX forced uniqueness of product interface name would it cause any difficulties?
I think it would cause difficulities. If a user define product interface in a conceptual part (like units' layout difinition part - sometimes named skelton part), there are some interface objects necessary for the same unit, for instance, origin - datum c-sys, boundary sheets against the other units and so on and those interface names should be the same name like "for lens unit". Does this make sense for you?
