Radiation Absorptivity, Solar and Long-Wave

I do thermal/air multiphysics simulation and am not sure how to enter solar absorptivity. I found this radiation extinction property[1/mm] in the material properties and came to the conclusion that:

extinction = absorption coefficient / thickness

And this applies for long-wave part and solar part seperately.

Can someone confirm this?

Probably get more informative answer posting this in the 3D Simulation - Simcenter 3D Forum
