I´ve got a Problem with the screen resolution on my Surface Book (I7, 16GB, dGPU) in NX 11 (11.0.0 and 11.0.1 ).
The Surface Book uses the Display Resolution 3000x2000 and a DPI-Scale of 200%. Some Windows are shown in very small, tiny sizes. The Information-Window for example doesn´t scale with the choosen DPI that I use in my Windows 10 pereferences.
Also the display of the Dialogboxes (like in Costumer Defaults) seems to be inconsistent to other Resolutions like 1920x1680.
Does anyone else have these Problems behaps on 4k Monitors or any solution for that behavior?
Solved! Go to Solution.
You need to post this in the NX design community
Production: NX10.0.3.5 MP16/TC11.2
I'd rather be e-steamed than e-diseaseled
Are you using the 4K UI role we shipped? It is in the presentation folder under roles in the resource bar.
I see that texts like in the listing window that you show take their settings from Windows. So in order to change these you will need to change your Windows settings, or zoom in using CTRL+mouse wheel scroll.
Thanks for the Info about strg+Mousewheel (sometimes it is such easy :-D ).
Yes I already use the 4k-Settings in NX but that didn`t help for all Icons. Some of them (picture below)
do not change their size.
DPI Setting is set to 200% (works in all other applications)
Ah... I see what you mean. You should really file PR's for these so it can be addressed.
Please file a PR per application/problem. In this case I would suggest a Pr against manufacturing and one against checkmate. Each application is responsible for using the correct UI tools for their dialogs. The fix for these problems is in the commands themselves.
I hope you will take the time to report these issues so we can fix this before more people will encounter the same issue. This is the burden for the early adopters...
I already adressed a PR, but sometime the Community is faster then Siemens ... :-)
If i got some more Infos about this behavior, I will forward this .
Thanks a lot,
It is good that you file PRs for these.
The cause of the problem is that the dialog is using older bitmaps (one size only) and not the newer HQ bitmaps.
With Windows 10 1703, you can try this :
right clic on ...\UGII\ugraf.exe => properties => Compatibility; activate OVERRIDE HIGH DPI SCALING BEHAVIOR SCALING PERFORM BY : SYSTEM
