little confusing situation. there is an reuse library created and the part should be placed in the assembly as "Clone" but evrytime i drag and drop it to a new file or asm it is set to reference.
So if i reset the Dialog it jumps back on "Reference". I did not find any Customer Default for it, in NX9, NX11, NX10. Also the Reuse Library Setting in NX10 for the Part Copy does not effect this.
I dont find anything in the help nor the internet.
I thought about to use the attribute pts_clone = not working
i thought about some things to write in the krx = nothing found
does some one got ideas or the solution?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Add the following syntax to your krx file within the <ItemData> tags:
where did you find this solution?
I am looking for some documentation/reference on all supported option and cannot find anything about it.
How can you easily add this code line in the krx file managed by teamcenter?
Too bad you don't see this option in the 'edit krx file' menu in NX.
In Teamcenter, right click on the KRX dataset under the Item Revision and choose Named References. You should see an XML file in the list - select it and choose "Open" to open it in a text editor, if you have one associated with XML files in Tc. Alternatively select "Download" to save the XML file on your local machine, edit it in a text editor and then "Upload" it back into the KRX Named References:
I cannot open krx datasets in notepad through TC.
Both krx and xml files are default opened with notepad on my pc.
How can associate notepad in TC with these datasets?
Exporting and importing xml files is a bit cumbersome to do for many reuse library items.
Are they opening in Internet Explorer? Mine were.
I selected "Edit > Options", clicked on Dataset and then set Dataset Type to "KRX". The Default Tools were listed as "IExplore" and "Notepad". With Notepad highlighted, I checked the box "Use MIME Type to Search Application for Default Tool". Now when I double click the KRX dataset or choose Open from the Named Reference, the xml opens in Notepad.
Hope that helps.
