Routing: Twisting an oval cable

Genius

Hi guys!

I have very little experience with electrical routing so I thought I'd ask the experts here...

Is there a way to twist an oval shaped cable on a spline path so that it's for example 0 degrees at the beginning and 90 at the end?

Using NX11...

Appreciate the help!

Hi @hajnal,

Routing does have a Stock Twist command, however, it's restricted to rectangular stock only.

Thanks Ben. If such a function is available for rectangular shapes, will it also be available for other shapes with newer releases of NX? Does such an enhancement request already exist?

Hi @hajnal,

I had a look through our existing ER's and didn't see any requesting that non-rectangular stock profiles be allowed for the twist command.  Please open a new IR with GTAC and have them submit an ER on your behalf.
