good evening. I didn't really want to resort to a forum to try and get an answer to this, but i've been struggling to find a solution to my issue. I've recently swapped over to a workstation laptop from my desktop.
within the Drafting side, i am getting what i can only describe is a type of lag when i'm trying to move items around the drawing sheet - this includes base views aswell as text.
normally i would click on the text and it would drag instantly over to the location i wish it to. Now it seems to be a good 50mm before the text actually moves to where my cursor is.
it isn't a massive problem, more one of those annoying niggles. I thought that it may be a Selection Preferences issue, but all options appear to be the same as my previous desktop machine.
any help appreciated - Rowe
1) Is this a supported laptop
2) Is graphics driver up to date (at or after the certified version)
For both, see the GTAC certifications spreadsheet at
Look at the "Hardware (Graphics card) certifications"
Production: NX10.0.3.5 MP16/TC11.2
I'd rather be e-steamed than e-diseaseled
thanks for the reply.
Yes the laptop is supported - Win7 64bit
Graphics driver is at version 11.0, whereas the spreadsheet appears to be at 15.
I will attempt to update and report back
thanks for you help
Only to be sure that your problem isn´t that simple:
NX uses an anchor point in Notes and Tabular Notes. Sometimes you place an Tabular Note for example with the Ancor Point "Bootom right". Later if you want to drag it to another position it is very confusing...
If it is not such kind of simple in your case, forget about it ;-)
thanks for the suggestion. If only it was that easy!
I'm currently in the process of getting the correct version of the graphics drivers installed on my machine.
Unfortunately i lack the privledges to install software, so it's a job for our IT guys
