Show Hidden lines for single assembly or part in drafting?

I have A, B, C three assemblies assembled. Under each assemblies there are several sub-assemblies.

Now I have a drawing view of Top assembly (A,B,C assembled view). I want to show one of the sub assemblies (components & sub assemblies of B) in hidden lines within this single view.

I have gone through several posts in the forum regarding this. Seems Secondary geometry is the solution. But i cannot find that option in NX10.

Is that option only for above NX10 versions? If so, please give me a solution for NX10.

Cheers,
Karthick.

Hi @Karthick_Raja ,

You can edit parts or sub-assembly in a view using 'View dependant edit' command.

Select view > RMB > View dependent edit > Select 'edit entire objects'  and change line font to dashed > Apply > Select curve/edge/faces

To make selection easy, change component/sub-assembly layer and select curves/edges using layer filter for 'view dependent edit' operation.

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Amol

Yes. It was introduced in NX 11, Secondary Geometry representations.

@Karthick_Raja , You can use Render Sets.
