Simulating: placing and taking out tricky coverplates ?

Is there a way in NX to simulate taking out and putting in below sheet metal covers ?

  • These 2pcs covers made by me should have enough play to "slide in" and "out" easily when installed. To work.
  • If I make these pcs too large they are impossible to install.
  • Motor axle goes in to the center.
  • Wish I had 3D-printer. For these tricky positioning tasks.
  • Those angles kind of "lock it" in place and 2pcs screws tighten it.

If you want to check the collision, use 'Move Component' command with Dynamic motion and Collision Detection options. If constraints are associated with the component, you need to suppress/remove them otherwise component will move with respect to the constraints.

Other way as Kapil mentioned, Use Extraction Path available in Assembly Sequence command. To know more about it refer to the video in the following link.
