Standard sheets template list

Good morning

When I add a new sheet in my drawings, I found the GUI offer me 3 choice.

Use template

Standard size

Custom size.

Now for Standard size the list is only for 1st choice drawing format. In my case I work in mm so I see only A0 A1 A2 A3 and A4. Is possible to add to this list also the 2nd and 3rd choiche format? or I'm forced to use the custom size option to set what I need every time?

(2nd choice)

A3x3420 x 841
A3x4420 x 1189
A4x3297 x 630
A4x4297 x 841
A4x5297 x 1051

and

(3rd choice)

A0x21189 x 1682
A0x31189 x 2523
A1x3841 x 1783
A1x4841 x 2378
A2x3594 x 1261
A2x4594 x 1682
A2x5594 x 2102
A3x5420 x 1486
A3x6420 x 1783
A3x7420 x 2080
A4x6297 x 1261
A4x7297 x 1471
A4x8297 x 1682
A4x9297 x 1892

Be sure that I don't use all the format I have listed, but someone of them is really helpfull under specific circumstances.

To do better, I would like to add the format I use more often in the list proposed from the Use template option that at the moment list only the Siemens template. What the steps to manage this list adding my own template?

The use of the Template option will allow you to create your owns set of templates, as many as you wish, and use those instead of the system provided set.  The file that you need to either replace or modify is named 'ugs_sheet_templates.pax'.  It's recommended that you not edit the existing file but rather create a new open and place it in the 'startup' folder in your 'user dir'.folder.

What if I already have the sheet inserted but its old?

In the template creation process I'm aiming to do even better and sometime I see sheet with old or not well positioned information. Need I to insert new sheet and move all the view from the old to the new one? The old template function had somenthing similiar to "retrieve pattern" to  update information when needed.

Thank you

Little update

The cell for Sheet Sizes definition had a "limited" imputs number

The max I can input is:

A4=210x297 A3=297x420 A2=420x594 A1=594x841 A0=841x1189 A3x3=420x841 A3x4=420x1189  A4x3=297x630 A4x4=297x841 A4x5=297x1051 A1x3=841x1783 A1x4=841x2378  A2x3=594x1261 A2x4=594x1682 A2x5=594x2102 A3x5=420x1486 A3x6=420x1783 A3x7=420x2080 A4x6=297x1261

Not bad, but strange thing is that still listed only the OOTB standard. All that I added seems not considered

Bye

Check to make sure that your session is actually using your latest edited Drafting standard.

While in Drafting, go to...

Menu -> Tools -> Drafting Standard...

,,,and make sure that the standard that you edited is the one that is loaded.

You can see in attachment the standard should not be the one OOTB.

Now I'm investigating on some variable.

Why can't we manage variable directly in customer defaults interface?

from log information

NX 10.0.1.4
No user customizations read from UGII_PACKAGE_DIR - environment variable is not set
No user customizations read from UGII_GROUP_DIR - environment variable is not set
Processing customer default values file K:\NX100custom\NX100library\CustomerDefaults\Site\startup\nx100_site.dpv
Processing customer default values file K:\NX100custom\NX100library\CustomerDefaults\Users\f.ciancaleoni\NX100_user.dpv
User customizations file K:\NX100custom\NX100library\CustomerDefaults\Users\f.ciancaleoni\NX100_user.dpv does not exist
Failed to populate drafting standard data in level 1.
Failed to populate drafting standard data in level 3.

Processing drafting standard file K:\NX100custom\NX100library\CustomerDefaults\Site\startup\nx_ISO_BIMAL_CUSTOMIZED_Drafting_Standard_Site.dpv

The questions are:

Failed to populate drafting standard data in level 1. What does it mean?
Failed to populate drafting standard data in level 3. What does it mean?

Why NX is processing 2 times drafting standard?

TY
