Using Create Animation tool

Hello everyone!

I haven't yet studied the High Quality Image Animation tool and is quite in the dark about it's capabilities. Can it be used to animate assembly motion? Is there a simple tutorial which can help me to start with it?

Note: The question is specifically about the High Quality Image Animation tool, not Asembly Sequence animation functionality.

You can create an expression based on the frame number of the movie then use that expression in the assembly constraint.

For example if you had 100 frames

angle=15*FrameNumber/100

would change the angle constrain from 0 to 15 degrees over the whole movie.

I must admit I'm having a hard time understanding how to get it done. It asks me to define trajectory, that I don't undertsand. What if I don't need to move a camera? And how to actually control an expression? Do you have a tutorial with simple steps?

They're old newsletter articles, but these might help:

Only one question left - is it possible to turn off the perspective view for the animation?

I couldn't get my simple example to replicate your behavior to see if I could disable the perspective option.  I did however find the following FAQ (unfortunately another old article, but it still might be relevant):

Creating Animation Without Perspective Turned On

You mean that you have it turned off? I have it permanently turned on, and perspective button is grey.

At any rate, thanks for the suggestion. It worked!
