Using Patterns in NX 10

Experimenter
Experimenter

I would like to make a master pattern that can be used on several differents parts that are in an assembly together so that when I revise the locations in the pattern all of the parts update. When I make a pattern of points and bring it into an assembly or bring it into another part none of the points are accessible.

Is there a way to make a master pattern of points or geometry that all of my parts are associated with so that if I change the pattern of points all of my parts update?

You could use a control structure as explained in the WAVE documentation:

NOTE: I'm not saying this is the right way to do things, but...

The reason the points may not be visible in the assembly is that they aren't part of the reference set you are using in the assembly.

Try "entire part" ref. set, or explicitely create a ref. set in the component (e.g. "points") and add the points to it, and use that ref. set in the assembly.

Another reason could be they are on an invisible layer.
