VDI with NX and Nvidia GRID

Hello everyone,

Actually we are testing VDI deploement with VMware horizon. We have 2 tesla M60.

I'd like to know if some of you use this kind of deployment ?

And if you have some latency with 3d mouse or rotation with normal mouse ?

Or anykind of observation Smiley Wink

Best regards

Adrien

There is a noticeable delay when using a 3D input device.

This might also be a result of too much bandwidth optimization of the horizon software, but we havn't found out the root cause yet.

There are also the new P60 graphics adapters, but we havn't been able to get them for testing and comparing yet too.

If you run this inside a LAN and not a WAN, you could disable any kind of bandwidth optimization, since bandwidth is not an issue inside of a LAN environment.

Hi,

Thanks for you reply.

My IT guys have imporve a lots a setting (I don't have all details yet), like frame rate and also bandwidth as you sugest.

We also see that the hardware of the Thinclient had some effect on performance, apparently there is some decompression made from the Thinclient.

Vmware will released or alread has, a new update of (horizon... esx... ) and it seems that there is some improvement about this kind of feature (Nvidia Grid performance).

I'll keep you in touch end of the week !

We can't test P60 hardware compatibilities...
