We have 48 Unigraphics licenses in our office. And the licenses are distributed in 6 servers. If we have to check the license usage, we are running LM Tools in each server. Is there any way to check the uasage of all the 48 licenses from one place?
in your nx-installation-folder you can find the lmutil.exe. You can start it in a command promt on your clinet and send the output to file. In my example the server name ist cad3.
c:\plm\nx100\UGFLEXLM\lmutil.exe lmstat -f -c 28000@cad3 > c:\temp\cad3-lm.log
You can do this for each of your servers.
If you want to find all the used licenses you can use the command
findstr "Users of" c:\temp\cad3-lm.log | findstr /V /C:"Total of 0 licenses in use" | sort >> c:\temp\lmsort.log
Hope this will help,
There are also external apps you can try.
Flexera has Flexnet manager (very $$$)
We use another product (I cant find info on them right now)
I'm sure there are others.
I believe someone has a script based usage reporting posted somewhere here in the forums (could be in a legacy forum)
Production: NX10.0.3.5 MP16/TC11.2
I'd rather be e-steamed than e-diseaseled
But we need an application which is both user friendly and time efficient. This is because we often exchange license between PCs.
So I was hoping if there was anything out there that could check all the servers at once.
Flexnet manager wouldnt be an option for us, due to the cost.
I'll try to find other products and the script you've mentioned.
Siemens document 001-1931728 provides you with some information about
There is also a free one, PHP License Watcher, which is no longer mantained
though, we have installed it and IMHO is not worth the effort.
There is OpenLM which is letting you monitor a your license Server and generating the Data into their Web user interface. You could download an evaluation version from www.openlm.com.
It also contains plenty of other features from receiving Denials, Usage analysis in period of time.... even releasing idle licenses. They also have great support.
Worth a try
