In older versions, say NX8.5 , theres an "simple clearance check", which is a simple version of the larger assembly clearance / set 1 /set 2 etc etc.
The simple version is "drag rectangle around all + OK" then the results are displayed.
I can't find this in NX10, has it been removed ?
( Yes, the NX10 Clearance analysis - Perform analysis will do the same and much more, but it also contains , for the non-power user, a couple of mysterious settings.)
Clearance analysis was updated and enhanced in NX9 and now provides some powerful functionality. For the casual user, the 'simple clearance check' can be performed by using the dialog in it's default state, just run the command and hit OK - no need to select anything.
I don't believe the licensing has changed, the UI got an overhaul to bring it up-to-date and the main enhancement was adding an interference depth value
