Wire lengths in the Routing Electrical

Hello everyone!

I'm trying to undertands the logic behind the Routing BOM.

For the wire lengths it shows modeled lengths, and also adds some unexplained line where it indicates the sum of all lengths regardless of wire type (and not precise at that).

What is this extra line? Can it be removed by default?

Can Routing BOM show cut lengths instead of modeled lengths?

Best guess is that it's reading both the formboard data and that of the 3D harness that is a component of the formboard. Suppress the 3D harness and the extra line should go away. There is also a weird interaction with the Detail level and stock length options.

Just checked - suppressing the harness really gets line to go away. But this leads to all sorts of problems with unsuppression for the purpose of updating the formboard.

Any way I could get wire CUT length into the routing BOM?

If I remember correctly you can simple add a column and insert the attribute cut_length by right click on the column.

If that was that simple... Man Happy There is no cut_length attribute available for the routing BOM, hence the question.
