how to convert a curve into a routing path

Hello everyone,

I am trying to draw a circular wire around the surface of a cylinder. When I use the quick path command in electrical routing, I select points on the cylinder surface,  but the path is buried inside the solid body. Is there away to convert a surface edge, curve or sketch into a routing path?  That could be useful when you want to lay the wire precisely.

Thank you!

Hi QQ,

you can use CONNECTED CURVES for reusing already existing curves/sketches as a routing path.

Hi @dsuraj,

From the Routing Application, select "Menu > Insert > Routing Path > Connected Curves", or search for Connected Curves using the Command Finder.  Select the existing curves and hit OK.  If you hide the existing curves you'll see the paths that were created from them.
