I don't know if i am on the good forum !
i would like to know how many licences are used on my license server ?
Actually , I don't know if there's 1 2 or 3 free licenses on my server.
thanks for the support
Production: NX188.8.131.52,VERICUT 8.1.2
Development: Tcl/Tk, Gnuplot
Solved! Go to Solution.
In the NX install tree should be a folder \UGFLEXLM\
In there is lmutil.exe
This has a lot of options to list usage.
You should be able to fix docs for this on the web, from Siemens, or just "lmutil /?"
There is also LMtools.exe, I'm less sure how to use this if your PC isn't the license server.
Production: NX10.0.3.5 MP16/TC11.2
I'd rather be e-steamed than e-diseaseled
Hope this helps.
I have responded to this request in other threads before, -excuse if i repeat myself :-)
I have created a "bat" file which when executed will do all the stuff that's difficult to remember I use this quite frequently to check who has the advanced assemblies license etc....
The .bat file looks like this inside : ( I doubt that i can upload it. .bat files are even difficult to email.)
lmutil lmstat -c 28000@licenseservername -a > c:\temp\licenses-in-use.txt
When the .bat file is doubleclicked, it will do the "lmutil lmstat -c" to the license server and send the report into a temporary textfile.
Then the same textfile is opened in notepad. ( notepad provides better readability etc than the DOS prompt)
When the notepad is closed, the textfile is deleted.
If you are working with only one License Server and less than 50 users there is OpenLM Server light version which is free of charge.
Find it at: https://www.openlm.com/download/
Also, you can take the debug log from the License Server and use the Alllicenseparser as described here.
By the way, when adding a plus in "LMUTILS utility - Config Services - Path to debug log file" the debug log will not be overwritten each time you restart the License Server.
It should look like: +C:\Program Files\Autodesk Network License Manager\adskflex.log
Not the the path might be differen in your environment.
if you don't have access to the server, you can create a .bat file like this:
C:\Siemens\NX11\UGFLEXLM\lmutil.exe lmstat -a -c 28000@server_name > C:\Users\username\Desktop\NX-license.log
