section curve set as analytical tool?

I noticed Alias has an interesting analytical tool "Cross Section Editor". Basically it creates a temporary set of section curves for a surface.

I wonder whether NX has a similar tool or any workaround doing the job.

Thanks!

@surfactant,

I am guessing you haven't looked at the NX commands under the Analysis tab or menu (hint - Section Analysis)? I feel it's kind of hard to speculate what all a command in Alias might do just by the name and a picture alone without more description or information about it.

Hi, @BenBroad  @TimF  I must say sorry for having not examined Section Analysis before starting this thread. Yes I used Section Analysis very often, but never tried to have a close look at its Options other than defaults.

I just find that Alias' Cross Section  Editor is a simplified version of NX' Section Analysis with Section Alignment set to "XYZ Plane" and Show Comb turned off.

Thank you both!
