split curve by knots, with associativity?

Genius
Genius
Sometimes I want to use a segment of a multi-segment spline.

Since Divide Curve > At Knot Point would lose parameters of the input curve, generally I work in this way:

  • create a Point Set > Knot Points
  • create a construction line between two knots
  • select the segment by Stop at Intersection

Is there a better way to do the job while keeping associativity? Thanks!

@surfactant,

Trim Curve can use points as boundaries for trimming and you have the option of making it associative.

Hi @TimF   It works. Thank you for the solution!

In Fit Curve, NX automatically segments a complex curve. This automatic segmentation scheme seems to be much better than manual visual judgement as I described in a previous thread. That's why I tried to divide a curve by knots.
