studio spline - symmetric modelling

Hello everyone,

 

I want to ask about a continuity type of studio spline called symmetric modelling. Is there anyone that can me explain how i can use that and whats the difference between G1(Tangent) Continuity type.

If you apply a symmetric constraint to a spline end point, you can later mirror the spline and it will maintain continuity through the mirror plane.
