use refile to update part family members ?

I have several fastener families. Original Part Family (PF) Template created say 8 years ago.

For some unknown reason i managed to have a (1)  interpart expression in the template.
( Which tries to fetch the value "0" from some other file...)

This interpart expression now exists in all PF members. ( = the children)

NX10 complains about that it cannot find that other part when adding a PF member.

The PF members ( =the PF Children ) are released in Teamcenter.

The PF members are used in many assemblies.

So , i would like to open the PF template, delete the interpart expression. Save the template.

Then somehow update the PF members without "unrelease" and without changing the date of the PF member.

"Refile" can update released parts without "unrelease".

"Refile" can save files without changing the date.   ( The assemblies using the fastener will not "flag" as modified.)

Is there an option to refile to Update the PF Members in the same way that an interactive update members from the PF spreadsheet does ?

Regards,

 Tomas

Depending on TC setup, if someone has "dba" with "bypass", they can probably re-save the part family members, even if released.

But I would strongly suggest you create a new revision anyhow, as you ARE changing the parts.

I have the dba access and the bypass option and i can save the members ( ex upgrade from NXversion x to version Y), but what i am missing is the option to "re-clone" the members from the part family template.
- when one from the PF template opens the spreadsheet and goes "Update parts", NX will behind the curtains delete the existing partfile ( The member) and then clone out a new member.

Since this is replacing "interpart expression = 0" with "expression=0" and does not affect form/fit/function, I would prefer keeping the revision.
