When using NX Ship Structure in BVR mode, you will notice some changes introduced in NX 11.0.1 that improve your experience.
Users often want to rearrange the heirarchical arrangement of a system in the Assembly Navigator. If you were to do this prior to NX 11.0.1 though, the WAVE links between geometry would break. This makes for a complicated mess that is painful and time-consuming to resolve.
The Basic Design Navigator now gives you the ability to dynamically reorganize the Basic Design systems while retaining those WAVE links and associativity between geometry. It uses a configurable xml file to define the initial system hierarchy, and you can add, delete, modify or copy the nodes of the hierarchy interactively. Drag and drop systems and nodes to change the hierarchical organization without damaging any of the system WAVE links.
You can also modify features right within the Assembly Navigator. No longer will you have to switch to the Part Navigator to modify a feature.
These highly requested improvements are designed to make your experience working with NX better.
