An associative sketch updates when you change the part to which it is constrained. This saves you a lot of time and hassle from going back to update all the different parts to accommodate a change to just one of them.
Now you can create associative WAVE links to the geometry on the fly. In the past, you had to create the WAVE link geometry in the existing assembly parts before adding the geometry to the sketch of the new part. This required you know ahead of time that you wanted the parts to be associative. If you created the part first… Well, then you just had to go back and do it over again.
NX 10 lets you create those WAVE links as you need them.
The advantage? You get the same result in less steps! No forethought or rework required.
I’ll show you how to create these WAVE links on the fly in this NX Quick Tips video.
