Usecase

Single axis example is a simple project that demonstrates possibility of cupping between NX MCD, SIMIT SP DEMO and PLCSIM Adv. It includes MCD model of TO PositioningAxis, TIA portal project with configured SINAMICS V90 drive and SIMIT project with Telegram3 chart created in SIMIT SP DEMO environment.

Features

  • simulate the single axis
  • configure TO PositioningAxis object for single axis in TIA portal (TIAP)
  • develop SIMIT chart for cupping between NX MCD and PLCSIM Adv.

 

Implementation

The single axis model consists of motor with encoder, rotary-gear, worm-gear and carriage slider that moving along the linear axis. Rigid bodies for the master and slave gears as well as for the cart are defined in NX MCD model. Each rotary-gear is assigned to the Hinge Joint and the slider is connected to Linear Joint. Upper and lower limits of the Linear Joint are set to 370 mm and 0 mm correspondingly. Rotary-gear ratio is 12:6 and lead-screw pitch is 10 mm/rot. Speed Control attached to the master gear simulate the motor with encoder. Carriage slider position could be obtained from Sliding Joint.

 

Usage

  1. Open SIMIT SP DEMO platform
  2. Follow the instructions from SIMIT folder
  3. Run the simulation in SIMIT SP DEMO
  4. Download the TIAP project to PLCSIM Adv.
  5. Navigate to PLC_1 -> Technology objects -> PositioningAxis_1 -> Commissioning in the TIAP and activate the master control
  6. Enable and home the axis using operating mode
  7. Move the axis using jog motion, position or velocity setpoint
